Oshioi Parking Lot (¥500 per visit)
About a 5-minute walk to Manai Falls

This is the central parking lot for the gorge area. For your car navigation system, setting it to “Takachiho Gorge Freshwater Fish Aquarium” nearby is helpful.
It’s close to the iconic Manai Falls in Takachiho Gorge.
It is the most expensive parking option, but recommended for those who want minimal walking and want to enjoy the gorge comfortably. It’s also very close to the boat rental area.
Ideal for families with children or elderly companions. Weekends and holidays tend to be very busy, so early morning arrival is advised.
Araragi Parking Lot (¥300 per visit)
About a 15-minute walk to Manai Falls

You reach the gorge via a scenic walking path from here, letting you experience the natural beauty along the way.
There are some steps and slopes, but hiking in along the gorge before reaching Manai Falls enhances the sense of awe.
Adjacent to the lot is “Araragi-no-Chaya”—a popular restaurant with a terrace offering a sweeping view of Takachiho Gorge.
Ohashi (Third Bridge) Parking Lot (Free)
About a 25-minute walk to Manai Falls

Though farther from the falls, it’s a pleasant walking trail and a great option for a stroll.
However, many steps are involved along the path—please take care.
On the return trip, there’s an uphill portion—especially in hot weather, be sure to bring water.
Takachiho Gorge Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycles can park near Onokoro Pond. It’s a slightly curved location, so be cautious. It’s small, and weekends or holidays may be busy.
